Owen Green HND, MSc, PhD is a Principal Consultant at wca-consulting and a Registered Toxicologist with many years experience in the Regulatory Safety Assessment of a wide range of materials.He has worked with leading global Contract Research Organisations in UK, Europe and USA since 1974 and has spent many of the intervening years being responsible for leading teams of scientists in the conduct of regulatory safety assessment programs, including reproductive toxicology and carcinogenicity studies to satisfy global legislative requirements. Such programs have included agrochemical and chemical substances as well as small and large molecule pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

As well as the preparation of numerous regulatory toxicological evaluation documents for global submissions, he has also prepared toxicology sections for Common Technical Documents and also individual risk assessments for leachables from MDI components and autoinjectors, airborne contaminants from air fresheners, drinking water and food contaminants.

His principal area of expertise is with mammalian toxicology and in recent times has been actively involved with reviews of toxicological data for potential indications of endocrine disruption, new developments in potential toxicities associated with metals and drinking water quality standards.

Owen has a Masters Degree in Pharmacological Biochemistry (University of Hertfordshire, 1984) and a PhD in end-stage renal disease (University of East London, 1997), is a Registered Toxicologist, and is significantly published in the specialist area of vascular infusion technology involving a wide variety of substances.He has also been an independent toxicology consultant to the pharmaceutical industry for a number of years within his career assisting with the outsourcing and monitoring of toxicological programs, interpretation of data and preparation of toxicology data summaries for regulatory submissions.
