Kate Roylance, MSc, ERT is a senior consultant at wca and a European Registered Toxicologist, and has worked at wca since 2018. She has a background in chemistry and toxicology and completed her BSc in chemistry and MSc in toxicology both at the University of Birmingham. Prior to wca, she worked in industry in an analytical chemistry laboratory where she gained experience with analytical instruments and report writing. At wca, Kate works on both mammalian toxicology and environmental projects. She has worked on a large number of endocrine disruption weight-of-evidence assessments and toxicological risk assessments. Kate also has a good knowledge of regulatory processes such as REACH and has experience with IUCLID entry and occupational exposure assessments conducted in CHESAR. She has extensive experience in literature and data searching, as well as interpretation of mammalian toxicology data. Additionally, she has experience in the use of mammalian toxicology Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) and structure activity relationship (SAR) models to assist with hazard assessments, chemical registrations and endocrine disruption assessments.
