At the recent SETAC Europe conference in Maastricht, we had many good discussions on difficult to test substances, including UVCBs and this was reflected in the interest shown in a possible difficult to test substance (DTTS) interest group – we had about 40 participants respond to our survey about setting one up, with 98% of respondents suggesting that an interest group would be beneficial. Given this level of enthusiasm, we are hoping that we will also get plenty of submissions to our session on difficult to test substances and UVCBs at SETAC North America in November – the deadline for abstract submissions to SETAC NA is 17:00 EDT on 3 June (free) and 17:00 EDT on 10 June (for a $50 rush fee).
