Today’s key sessions on environmental risk assessment included an outline of the guidance document on setting EQS for metals for the Water Framework Directive and how regulators are accounting for bioavailability in compliance assessment.

Excel-based tools for assessing risks to the terrestrial environment were also presented. These tools incorporate the latest understanding of metals fate and behaviour from EU Risk Assessments. Best of all these tools are free! Drop me an email if you’d like a copy.
